Markov: Armenian leadership is doing everything to disrupt activities of CSTO

Armenia will not leave the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), and will do everything to disrupt the organization's activities from within, Russian political scientist and director of the Center for Political Studies Sergey Markov told Report's Russian bureau.

He said that French President Emmanuel Macron is trying to strengthen his position in the Caucasus: "Macron decided to "attack" Armenia and the South Caucasus. Several resolutions against Azerbaijan and Russia were discussed in both chambers of the French Parliament. France is trying to distance Armenia from the alliance with Russia."

Markov also emphasized that the foreign policy of the official Paris is based on an anti-Türkiye position and Islamophobia.
