Lavrov and Çavuşoğlu held talks in Istanbul

Baku. 27 October. REPORT.AZ/ Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu in Istanbul, Report informs citing the Anadolu.
According to diplomatic sources, Cavusoglu and Lavrov held talks in a narrow format and with the participation of delegations.
Notably, the meeting of foreign ministers anticipated a quadripartite meeting of the leaders of Turkey, Russia, Germany and France on Syria.
The central theme of the summit of leaders in Istanbul will be the preservation of the cease-fire regime in Idlib and the development of joint steps for a political settlement in Syria.
