Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze considers the absence of leadership one of the main problems of modern world politics, according to Report's correspondent in Antalya.
"First of all, I must say that the lack of leadership and the shortage of prominent leaders is one of the main problems of modern world politics. Of course, there are exceptions. Türkiye is such an exception. The respected panel participants are also exceptions, but this does not reflect the overall picture," he said during a panel session at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Türkiye.
Kobakhidze emphasized that overall the situation "does not look very positive," and in some cases it even creates the impression that the process of forming political leadership is being distorted: "It is as if, instead of the political system responsible for shaping leaders, some ill-intentioned HR manager is selecting leaders in different countries."
He noted that the current international system differs from one in which world politics had more significant leaders.
According to the Prime Minister, today the most important task for leaders should be focusing on dialogue, cooperation, and strengthening relations among states.
