The United States and Germany have given Ukraine less than 40 % of the weapons they pledged, says the Ukraine Support Tracker of the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, Report informs referring to the German newspaper Bild.
The research says the momentum of further commitments to Ukraine is slowing:
"In the additional period covered in the latest Ukraine Support Tracker release (June 8 to July 1), only a few new pledges were added, and they were less substantial."
It recorded total commitments of €80.7 billion by the West.
"Poland is a leader in keeping its pledge. The country has supplied all the pledged weapons to Ukraine. Poland has promised €1.8 billion of weapons and military equipment to the neighboring country. Poland is only behind the United States in sending weapons," the newspaper said.
Apart from Poland, the other countries that have fulfilled their pledge 100 % are: Latvia, France, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg, Finland, Slovenia, Austria and Bulgaria.
58-98 % of those who keep their pledges: Estonia, Norway, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Lithuania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, and Australia.
The United States has delivered 38.4 % of the pledged weapons, and 61.2 % has yet to be delivered.
Although Germany promised to provide weapons worth €675, it has fulfilled 39.9 % of it (€269 million), and 60.1 % has not been fulfilled yet.
Some countries have not fulfilled even 1 % of their pledges.
