Khamenei orders publication of investigation results following Ukrainian plane crash

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei instructed authorities to release the results of an investigation into the crash of a Ukrainian plane.

Report informs citing the IRIB.

“As soon as the supreme leader was informed of the catastrophic mistake in the country's air defense, he called an emergency meeting of the Supreme Council of National Security of the country to study the issue, confirming that the causes of the incident and the results of the investigation would be published honestly and transparently following the meeting”, - IRIB channel reported.

Earlier, Iranian authorities announced that Ukrainian Boeing 737-800 was shot down "unintentionally" by its armed forces.

It is noted that the "human factor" was the cause of the tragedy.
