Kazakhstan, China agree to mutually recognize driver's licenses

Kazakhstan and China have agreed on the mutual recognition and exchange of national driver's licenses following negotiations between Minister of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Sadenov and Minister of Public Security of China Wang Xiaohong in Beijing, according to Kazakh media, Report informs.

"This will simplify the relevant procedures for the citizens of the two countries and create more convenient conditions for mutual travel," the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted.

In addition, following the negotiations, the governments of Kazakhstan and China signed an agreement on security and law and order on the territory of the Khorgos International Center of Boundary Cooperation.

The document determines how the competent authorities of the two countries will interact to prevent offenses, respond promptly to threats, and ensure the safety of citizens on the territory of the center.
