Ismail Demir: Turkey stopped process of acquiring Patriot system

"Turkiye has stopped considering the possibility of acquiring the US-made Patriot anti-aircraft missile system," said Ismail Demir, head of the Turkish Presidency of Defense Industries, Report informs via TASS.
"At present, the issue of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system is not being discussed. This page is closed for us from the point of view of our defense industry complex," he noted.
Ismail Demir stressed that there are no problems between Ankara and Moscow in the implementation of the agreement on the S-400 complex.
In 2017, Russia and Turkey signed an agreement regarding S-400. Ankara's move was strongly criticized by the United States and some NATO members. In December 2020, the United States imposed sanctions on Turkey.
