IRGC: US troops forced to hide in Jordan

The intelligence unit of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claims to have inflicted losses on the US Central Command (CENTCOM) and forced it to retreat.

According to Report, citing IRIB, the Iranian military said that the relocation of the US military contingent to Jordan was also not a means of safety, as bases in the country had repeatedly come under attack.

"The actions of the Iranian Armed Forces have changed the balance of power on the battlefield. Bases, runways, hangars, aircraft and everything on land and at sea, including US ships, have been subjected to continuous and relentless strikes," the IRGC said in a statement.

It noted that Iran"s "double-fire" strategy had put the logic behind the US buildup of forces and equipment in a contradictory position.

"Strikes against the US Navy, losses in Jordan, the destruction of vessels following devastating retaliatory strikes, the vulnerability, destruction and capture of unmanned equipment as trophies, and the growing number of targets available to Iran have pushed the US toward dispersal, concealment and 'minimal involvement,'" the statement said.
