IRGC general says Iran fully prepared to continue conflict

Iran is fully prepared to respond to any aggressive action by an enemy, Brigadier General Mohammad Karami, commander of the Ground Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said, according to Report.

"We are 100% ready to respond decisively to any mistake by the enemy," he said.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said he would meet with the leaders of the Persian Gulf countries on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session and discuss the situation in the Middle East.

The Axios news portal reported that Trump would also discuss the next steps to be taken in the war with Iran during the meeting.

The US president has also not ruled out the possibility of new strikes on Iranian territory. "I have to make an important decision going forward. Do I want to destroy them or not? That's a serious decision. I can make either decision," Trump told Axios.
