Iran, Uzbekistan FMs discuss regional situation

The foreign ministers of Uzbekistan and Iran, Bakhtiyor Saidov and Abbas Araghchi, exchanged views on regional security issues during a telephone conversation, Report informs.
"Exchanged views on regional security and current international issues, emphasizing the importance of resolving matters through political and diplomatic means in accordance with international law," Saidov said on X.
They also discussed further strengthening the "traditional ties of friendship" between Uzbekistan and Iran, as well as expanding bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
"Agreed to continue close dialogue and practical cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries," he concluded.
