Iran seeks good relations with neighboring and Middle Eastern countries

Iran supports good relations with neighboring countries and Middle Eastern states and says it has no disagreements with Egypt, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said this at the International Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran, according to Tasnim, cited by Report.

"We seek good relations with all Islamic countries, especially neighboring states. We want to develop closer economic ties with all Islamic countries, and we have extensive relations with all of them," he said.

According to Araghchi, Iran seeks to maintain good-neighborly relations with neighboring states.

"We are ready for good relations with all groups and factions in Lebanon, as well as with the country's government. Of course, we do not like some of the policies pursued by this government. We hope Lebanon's Foreign Ministry will act more rationally," he said.

The Iranian foreign minister also said that Tehran maintains good relations with African countries and intends to expand ties with them.
