Iran doesn’t conduct direct negotiations with the US and doesn’t plan to organize them in the future, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani Chafi said, Report informs referring to TASS.
“The information that a meeting between Iranian and US officials will take place on the sidelines of a meeting of the UN General Assembly isn’t true. Iran doesn’t conduct direct negotiations with the US and doesn’t plan to do so either on the sidelines of the General Assembly or anywhere else,” he added.
Chafi noted that the two countries only held indirect talks on prisoner exchange and the release of Iranian assets.
