Iran has received new proposals from mediators aimed at achieving a ceasefire and de-escalating the conflict with the United States, Report informs.
Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced the development during a press briefing, Iranian media noted.
"There are proposals, we have received them, but allow me not to go into detail. However, ideas have been proposed," he said.
At the same time, Baghaei noted that "diplomacy does not preclude defense."
"The goal is to defend Iran's national interests. Sometimes through defensive measures, sometimes through diplomacy, and sometimes through both simultaneously," he stressed.
