Iran's MFA: Decision on Pezeshkian's participation in UN General Assembly not yet made

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian may attend the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, which will be held in New York in September.

According to IRNA, cited by Report, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said during a briefing that a final decision on Pezeshkian's visit has not yet been made.

"Usually, every year, a delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran headed by the president participates in the General Assembly session. This is the UN's most important annual event, and we have always used this opportunity to explain our position. We plan to make use of this opportunity this year as well. Of course, everything depends on the circumstances and the situation, and information on this issue will be provided in the coming weeks," Baghaei said.
