Iran’s Foreign Ministry welcomes peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran has welcomed the establishment of peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
According to Report, citing Iranian media, the ministry’s statement highlights that Iran is closely monitoring current developments in the South Caucasus region and maintains dialogue on these issues with both neighboring countries — the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia.
“Peace and stability in the Caucasus undoubtedly serve the interests of all countries in the region. The Islamic Republic of Iran, welcoming the completion of the peace treaty text between the two countries, considers this event an important step toward achieving lasting peace in the region,” the statement reads.
