Iran, Russia discuss prospects for enhanced cooperation

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian welcomed Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Report informs via TASS.
Mishustin emphasized the strong potential for enhancing Russian-Iranian relations in multiple areas.
"Despite the 6.5 percent increase in our trade turnover in 7 months, I believe that there is great potential for expanding cooperation between Russia and Iran in energy, transport, industry, trade, cultural and humanitarian fields," he said.
According to Mishustin, various topics of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting with Iran’s First Vice-President Mohammad Reza Aref.
The prime minister also noted that the possibility of leveraging Iran as a transport hub was considered.
