Hulusi Akar: Türkiye, US close to agreement on F-16 issue

"We have reached a positive point in discussions with the US Department of Defense. We know that it is supported by the White House. We expect Congress to make a decision with common sense," Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said when commenting on the purchase of F-16s from the United States, Report informs via Anadolu.
"We want everyone to know that we are not desperate in this matter, that we have options," the minister added.
