Hulusi Akar: Turkish, Russian and Syrian leaders might meet

The leaders of Turkiye, Russia and Syria may meet if the necessary conditions are created, the Turkish National Defense Minister, Hulusi Akar, said in an interview with NTV, Report informs.

"First, there were some discussions between our intelligence agencies. Then we (defense ministers) met. At the meeting in Moscow, we conveyed our concerns to the Russian and Syrian sides. There was no negative attitude."

Hulusi Akar said that at the meeting held in Moscow, it was brought to the attention of the parties that Turkiye's only goal is the fight against terrorism: "We do not have a problem with any ethnic, religious group."

On December 28, Turkish Minister of National Defense, Hulusi Akar and Head of National Intelligence Agency, Hakan Fidan, visited Moscow, Russia. On the same day, a tripartite meeting was held between Hulusi Akar, Hakan Fidan, Russian Defense Minister, Sergei Shoigu, and Syrian Defense Minister, Ali Abdullah Ayyuub.
