HDP activist detained in Türkiye for membership in terrorist organization

Latife Canan Kaplan, an HDP activist in Türkiye, who was a parliamentary candidate in the elections held on November 1, 2015, was detained at Istanbul airport because she is a member of the terrorist group Marxist-Leninist Communist Party (MLCP), Report informs, citing Haber Global.
Latife Canan Kaplan, who came to Türkiye from France by plane, was detained due to the search warrant of the local court regarding her membership in a terrorist organization and taken to police station. She said in her first statement that she went on vacation to France and lives in Istanbul.
