Hakan Fidan to attend OIC-Arab League FM meeting in Doha on September 14

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will participate in the Foreign Ministers' meeting in Doha on September 14, held in preparation for the upcoming Extraordinary Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League (AL), Report informs, citing the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting will focus on discussing a draft resolution to be submitted at the leaders' summit.

The summit at the heads-of-state level will take place on September 15, following Israel's attack on Doha on September 9. It will be held at Qatar's invitation and with support from Türkiye, which currently chairs the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers.

This will be the third joint OIC-Arab League emergency summit, initiated in response to Israel's ongoing military operations in Gaza since October 7, 2023, which have since expanded to include attacks in Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iran.
