Iran will manage the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said, according to Report.
Ghalibaf stated that the governance framework of the Strait of Hormuz would never return to its pre-war state, although international regulations would continue to be respected.
He also emphasized his support for keeping the strait open to international shipping.
"I hope that we will once again be able to make the strait fully functional for transit and contribute to the prosperity of the regional and global economy. However, the governance order of the Strait of Hormuz will never return to its pre-war state. Of course, international rules will be observed, but the Strait of Hormuz will be managed by Iran," Ghalibaf said.
