Fox News: Putin says he wants to meet 'at some point' with Trump

Russian President Vladimir Putin told US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff that he wants to meet with American President Donald Trump "at some point," said White House correspondent Peter Doocy during a Fox News broadcast, Report informs via RBC-Ukraine.

The reporter said that during today’s meeting in Moscow, Putin told Witkoff he was willing to meet with Trump "at some point."

After Witkoff relayed this message, the US President said he is open to holding a meeting as early as next week if it could help bring an end to the war in Ukraine.

Later, Trump held a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and several European leaders, sharing this information with them.

Doocy noted that it remains unclear where the meeting might take place. It could happen anywhere — at the White House or in a neutral country such as Qatar or Switzerland, where such events are typically held.

According to the reporter, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said it was the Russians who expressed a desire to meet with President Trump, and he is open to meeting with both Putin and Zelenskyy because he wants the war to end.

He emphasized that while there is a possibility this meeting may never happen, it could also take place as soon as next week.
