Five die as fire hits private residential house in Russia

Five people died in a fire in a private residential building in the Kurgan region, Report informs, citing RIA Novosti.

According to the regional head office of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, on Sunday night, a fire broke out in the village of Zverinogolovskoye at 54 Gagarin Street. When the firefighters arrived, the three-apartment log house was engulfed in flames in an area of 100 square meters.

The bodies of two women, a man, and two children were found at the scene. An investigation is underway to establish the circumstances of the fire.
