Fidan: Türkiye to continue supporting US-Iran talks

Türkiye will continue to support the ongoing negotiation process between the United States and Iran, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said at a joint press conference with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand in Ottawa, according to Report.

"We are very pleased with the signing of the memorandum of understanding on maintaining the ceasefire between the United States and Iran. We also view the extension of the ceasefire to Lebanon as a positive development," he said.

Fidan stressed that ensuring uninterrupted and free navigation through the Strait of Hormuz is of critical importance.

"Türkiye will continue to contribute to the ongoing negotiation process between the United States and Iran. Israel must not be allowed to derail these talks, and the international community should remain highly vigilant on this issue," he said.
