Erdogan welcomes US-Iran agreement in phone call with Pezeshkian

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has held a phone call with his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian, during which the sides discussed the US-Iran agreement.

Report informs that the information was shared on the X account of the Communications Directorate of the Turkish Presidential Administration.

During the phone conversation, Türkiye-Iran bilateral relations, as well as regional and global issues, were discussed.

Erdogan said he viewed the agreement reached between Iran and the United States positively. He noted that Türkiye is ready to provide all possible support to ensure that the process results in peace.

The Turkish leader emphasized the importance of remaining cautious toward forces seeking to disrupt the negotiation process.

Erdogan said steps should be taken in the new period to strengthen regional peace and stability, adding that Ankara will continue its efforts to achieve this goal.

During the phone call, it was also noted that efforts would continue to develop cooperation between Türkiye and Iran in trade, finance and energy.
