"Today, some countries prefer isolation. However, now we have to be more united," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit in Samarkand on September 16.
He stressed the need for reforms in the international system:
"We work for stability in the region and the world. Our goal is to ensure peace in the region and the world. We are working to end the war in Ukraine through diplomacy. We are trying to deliver Ukrainian grain to those in need, including our brothers in Africa."
