Erdogan, Kiro discuss fight against Islamophobia

Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Türkiye, met with Cindy Kiro, Governor-General of New Zealand, in Ankara, Report informs, citing Türkiye's Turkish Presidential Administration.
The two sides discussed Türkiye–New Zealand relations, as well as regional and global issues.
Türkiye aims to develop ties with New Zealand in areas including trade, defence industry and transport, the statement said.
New Zealand's efforts to combat Islamophobia were highlighted during the talks, and it was noted that recognition of the State of Palestine by New Zealand could contribute to a solution.
