Energy Ministry: Power supply fully restored in Tajikistan

The problem in Tajikistan's power system has been completely resolved, and electricity supply has been restored across all regions of the country, Tajikistan"s Ministry of Energy and Water Resources said in a statement.

According to Report, the ministry noted that prompt measures were taken and all available resources were mobilized to address the consequences of the incident.

"The country's power system is currently operating normally, and electricity supply to consumers has been fully restored. At the same time, necessary work to ensure the stable and reliable operation of the power system is continuing," the statement said.

Power outages were reported in several Central Asian countries. Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan reported electricity disruptions in certain regions. In Kazakhstan, the outages were caused by a sharp change in electricity flows from the Central Asian power system, which triggered the emergency protection system. Kyrgyzstan's power system temporarily switched to operating in isolated mode following an external outage on a high-voltage line connecting the northern and southern parts of Kazakhstan's power system.
