Deputy Iranian FM meets senior Hamas member in Moscow

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ali Bagheri Kani discussed a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel with senior Hamas member Abu Marzouk in Moscow, the Iranian Embassy in Russia said on its Telegram channel, Report informs via TASS.

“Ali Bagheri Kani, Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, who arrived in Moscow at the invitation of his Russian counterpart for an exchange of views and bilateral consultations, met with Abu Marzouk, a member of the Hamas politburo,” the embassy said.

According to the embassy, at this meeting, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran emphasized that Tehran’s priority in negotiations with foreign parties is an immediate ceasefire and lifting the siege of Gaza.

On Thursday, the Russian President’s Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Bogdanov received his Iranian colleague in Moscow.
