A court in Yerevan has again extended the detention period for Mikael Arzumanyan, the former head of the "armed forces" of the former separatist regime in Karabakh.
Report informs via Armenian media that, according to the Armenia's Supreme Judicial Council, his arrest was extended for three months.
He has been under arrest since August 2022, and the criminal case was transferred to court in 2023. During this period, some witnesses have already been questioned.
Arzumanyan is accused of surrendering a strategically important height in Karabakh, as well as negligence during the 44-day war, which ended with Azerbaijan's victory and complete restoration of the country's territorial integrity.
