Armenia opens consulate general in northern Iraq

Armenia has opened a Consulate General in Erbil, controlled by the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government, Report informs, citing the Armenian Foreign Ministry.
Consul General Arshak Manukyan said at the opening ceremony of the consulate that the agenda of bilateral cooperation between the autonomous government and Armenia has also been determined.
Trade relations between Armenia and the autonomy in northern Iraq have expanded in recent years.
In 2017, the then President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, signed a decree on the Consulate General's opening in Erbil.
