“Turkey and Egypt have started diplomatic contacts without putting forward preconditions,” Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said in an interview with TRT Haber.
According to him, neither Egypt nor Turkey has put forward preconditions: “But it’s not that easy to move on as if nothing has happened after years of broken ties,” he said.
“Negotiations take place and continue under a certain strategy, road map,” Çavuşoğlu said.
The minister also said they had received positive messages from the UAE: “We don’t have any problem with them. But they had a negative attitude towards us”.
