Turkiye is trying to be sensitive to the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, said Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, Report informs.
"Serious sanctions are applied against Russia, so it is difficult not to be affected by those sanctions. We all see the pessimism of the West, but you don't have to be happy about it. The weakening of the West is not in our favor. Winter is weeks away in Europe. Actions have already started in various Western countries. Istanbul hosted both the grain agreement and the Zaporizhzhya NPP negotiations. It shows that there is still a chance for peace. We will continue our initiatives in the future," he noted.
