Cavusoglu: Russia, US must keep their word on Syria

There are still terrorist groups in Iraq, but ISIS has already weakened, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said in an interview with TV 100, Report informs.

“The PKK and other terrorist groups continue their provocations. We always say that terrorist groups are a threat to both Iraq and us. If the local regime fails to fight terrorists, we will do it. The Iraqi government cannot successfully fight against terrorism. This is the reason for the ongoing provocations,” he said.

Cavusoglu stressed that Russia and the US should keep their word in connection with Syria: “They should have withdrawn the terrorists from the territory, but they did not do it. The US is still continuing to provide arms support. The US should give an explanation in this regard.”
