The Turkish authorities have provided data showing that there is no circumvention of EU sanctions against Russia, EU diplomat Josep Borrell said at a briefing, Report informs.
Borrell noted that he talked to his colleague, Minister Cavusoglu, adding that the Turkish minister informed him about the data on the flow of imports to Turkiye from the EU and on exports from Turkiye to Russia.
These data generally confirm the increase in exports from Turkiye to Russia, but at the same time no increase in imports from the EU to Turkiye was recorded, he said.
As part of the ninth package of EU sanctions against Russia, there are plans to expand the list of persons subject to restrictive measures.
