Alexander Lukashenko's main rival in the presidential election in Belarus, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, has announced the beginning of a "peaceful revolution" in her country.
"We are no longer the opposition. We are already a majority. At present, a peaceful revolution is taking place," Tikhanovskaya said in her online speech at the European Parliament.
According to her, this revolution is not geopolitical: "It is neither pro-Russian nor anti-Russian and neither pro-European nor anti-European. It is a democratic revolution. This is the struggle of the people who want to choose their leaders freely and decide their destiny."
