Azerbaijanis hold action in support of Fuad Abbasov in Moscow - PHOTO

Azerbaijanis in Moscow have held an action outside the Court of Arbitration in support of imprisoned journalist Fuad Abbasov.

Report's Russian bureau informs that the action participants held the photos of the Azerbaijani journalist in their hands.

One of the founders of the National and Cultural Autonomy of Azerbaijanis in Russia Ramiz Mikailov told Report about the purpose of the action.

"Our goal is to bring our position regarding the imprisonment of Azerbaijani journalist in Russia to a wider community. We demand Fuad Abbasov's extradition to Azerbaijan," Mikailov said.

Notably, the court of Khimki city in Moscow province ruled on the deportation of Abbasov from Russia to Azerbaijan. An appeal was filed to the Moscow district court against the decision. But the court declined the appeal.

Abbasov is currently held in the ward for migrants in Korolyov city of Moscow province pending deportation. Though he bought the ticket at his own expense for two times, he is still not deported to Azerbaijan.
