Azerbaijani-origin official appointed head of Kyiv Oblast administration

In Ukraine, Tymur Tkachenko (Mammadov), an official of Azerbaijani descent, has been appointed as the head of Kyiv Oblast Military Administration.

According to Report's Eastern Europe bureau, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the appointment following the submission of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Tkachenko is the son of Firudin Mammadov, a prominent activist of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Ukraine.

Born on August 18, 1989, in Kyiv, Tkachenko previously served as Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Strategic Industries and later headed the Kyiv City Military Administration.
