The Azerbaijani Embassy in Georgia has initiated a campaign to provide food assistance to low-income families in the country.
Today, the Embassy delivered food to 100 families in Gardabani town, which is densely populated by Azerbaijanis, according to Report’s local bureau.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Georgia Dursun Hasanov, Governor of Kvemo Kartli region Shota Rekhviashvili, Chief of Gardabani District Ramaz Budagashvili and other officials took part in the handover of the boxes of foodstuffs to the district administration.
The aid campaign financed by Azerbaijani Business Association in Georgia (AZEBI) was launched on April 9 in Tbilisi. Yesterday, 400 families in Marneuli and Bolnisi were provided with food products. The campaign will supply food to 1,000 families in the other regions of Georgia where Azerbaijanis settled in.
