Armenian, US officials visit Syunik to discuss TRIPP project

Representatives of Armenia and the United States have made a joint visit to Syunik province, where construction is continuing on the Armenian section of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), Report informs, citing a Facebook post by TRIPP Armenia.
According to the information, the visit included representatives of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, US Chargé d'Affaires David Allen and Jonathan Askonas, Senior Advisor at the US State Department's Policy Planning Staff.
As part of the visit, representatives of the two countries met with local government and community representatives to discuss TRIPP's potential to strengthen regional connectivity and create new economic opportunities.
"This visit reflects the shared commitment of Armenia and the United States to ensuring peace, prosperity and connectivity in the South Caucasus," the statement said.
According to TRIPP Armenia, the sides will also visit areas in the Meghri district that are included in the TRIPP route.
