The opening of transport communications in the South Caucasus will create new opportunities to expand economic cooperation between Armenia and China, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told journalists today, Report informs via Armenian media outlets.
Pashinyan noted that the establishment of a strategic partnership with China in August 2025 marks a major foreign policy achievement for Armenia's current government.
"There is a positive political momentum for deepening cooperation between our countries" business communities in the economy and other sectors, and our partners simply need to seize these opportunities," he added.
Despite transport limitations caused by distance, the prime minister emphasized that unblocking regional infrastructure could resolve many of these challenges.
"There is now an opportunity to deliver cargo to China by rail. This represents an entirely new economic reality," Pashinyan stressed.
