Armenia should build mutual trust with neighbors, resolve issues without mediators, president says

Armenia needs to establish mutual trust with neighboring countries and, whenever possible, resolve emerging problematic issues without mediators, Report informs, citing Armenpress, based on statements by Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan to journalists.

He also stated the need to implement joint regional programs with neighboring countries. According to Khachaturyan, these actions will allow for the establishment of long-term peace in the region.

The Armenian president emphasized that a new situation has currently formed in the region, and the opportunities, desire, and readiness necessary for peace and cooperation exist.

"Now the situation is completely different. Now there are opportunities, desire, and readiness. We ourselves must be able to build mutual trust with our neighbors and implement joint programs. I am referring to both TRIPP [Trump Route - ed.] and, in the future, energy programs that will be beneficial not only to individual countries but to the entire region," Khachaturyan said.
