Armenia's COVID-19 tally tops 221,000

Armenia confirmed 212 new coronavirus cases, bringing the nationwide tally to 221,139, Report informs, citing the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention under the Ministry of Health.
The death toll has reached 4,346 as thirteen more succumbed to the deadly pathogen. As many as 209,222 people have recovered from the disease. There are 6,507 active COVID-19 patients in the country.
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China’s Hubei province and has spread to more than 200 countries and territories since then.
On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
