Armenia's COVID-19 tally hits 220,860

Armenia confirmed 131 new coronavirus cases, bringing the nationwide tally to 220,860, Report informs, citing the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention under the Ministry of Health.
The death toll has reached 4,323 as nine more succumbed to the deadly pathogen. As many as 208,454 people have recovered from the disease. There are 7,023 active COVID-19 patients in the country.
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China’s Hubei province and has spread to more than 200 countries and territories since then.
On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
