Armenia's COVID-19 death toll surpasses 2,800

Armenia confirmed 582 new coronavirus cases, bringing the nationwide tally to 158,878, Report informs, citing the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health.
The death toll has reached 2,807 as ten more succumbed to the deadly pathogen. As many as 141,844 people have recovered from the infection so far.
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China’s Hubei province and has spread to more than 200 countries and territories since then.
On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
