Armenia's coronavirus deaths reach 2,797

Armenia confirmed 348 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the nationwide tally to 157,948, Report informs, citing the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health.
The death toll has reached 2,797 as 22 more succumbed to the deadly pathogen. As many as 140,942 people have recovered from the infection so far.
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China’s Hubei province and has spread to more than 200 countries and territories since then.
On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
