Armed incident occurs at Ashura ceremony in Iran

A shooting occurred near a mosque in Saravan, the center of Saravan County in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, southeastern Iran, Report informs via Tasnim news agency.

"An indiscriminate shooting took place near the main mosque of Saravan city, as a result of which the terrorists fled the scene in panic," the information said.

It was noted that fortunately, there were no deaths or injuries.

The incident occurred in the area where Ashura ceremonies were being held: "Calm has now been restored in the city," the agency added.
