Ararat Mirzoyan becomes new FM of Armenia

Former Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Ararat Mirzoyan has been appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of this country, Report informs referring to Armenian media.
President Armen Sarkissian has signed a relevant decree.
The post of Armenian foreign minister has remained vacant since the end of May when acting Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan resigned after Nikol Pashinyan announced a plan to de-escalate the situation on the line of contact with Azerbaijan. His deputies - Gagik Galachyan, Avet Adonts, Artak Apitonyan, and Armen Gevondyan also resigned. From July 14, former secretary of the Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, who was appointed first deputy foreign minister, began to fulfill the duties of the foreign minister.
