5.0 and 5.5 magnitude earthquakes strike Kyrgyzstan

Earthquakes with magnitudes of 5.0 and 5.5 have occurred in Kyrgyzstan, according to Kyrgyz media outlets.

The Seismology Institute of the National Academy of Sciences said the epicenter was located 124 kilometers southeast of Bishkek and 73 kilometers northwest of Naryn.

Recent seismic monitoring also recorded a magnitude 5.0 earthquake in the Naryn region on August 12.
