23 suspects with links to ISIS detained in Türkiye

Turkish intelligence services have detained 23 people on suspicion of links to the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said, Report informs referring to TASS.
“As part of the operations that were carried out in seven provinces of the country, 23 people were detained on suspicion of connections with the ISIS terrorist group,” the minister wrote on X.
He noted that most of the arrests - 10 - were carried out in the Hatay province bordering Syria.
From June 1, 2023 to April 22 of this year, 1,422 operations against IS were carried out in Türkiye, 2,991 people were detained, of which 718 were arrested for terrorist activities, he added.
